Rescue Vintage is a vintage furniture restoration and upholstery business with a small workshop in the Phinney neighborhood of Seattle. We specialize in thoughtfully restoring, repairing, and reupholstering our clients’ furniture from the mid century modern design era of the 1940s-1960s.

We strive to limit waste and encourage sustainability, reusing scrap wood and fabrics on bespoke creative projects, and encouraging the reuse and repair of valuable vintage pieces worth restoring for another generation’s use. We started Rescue Vintage in 2020 because we love cool furniture and art, and we’ve continued because we believe repairing, mending, and restoring are revolutionary acts in a world of fast consumption.

Our upholstery work is extremely detailed-oriented, working to bringing back priceless heirlooms and iconic soft furnishings. We prioritize the use of natural textiles whenever possible, and are always happy to use natural materials inside a piece, including latex, cotton, and wool. We reupholster vintage and modern pieces, prioritizing lengthening the usable life of items in our client’s homes.
