Long time fabric junkie, Tracy Krauter, designs & sells fabric & fabric products made out of our signature Laminated Cotton, “Magic Fabric”.
It’s Not Your Grandma’s Oilcloth.

My name is Tracy Krauter and I’m the founder of Splash Fabric – a company that designs eco-friendly laminated cotton fabric (think oilcloth- but eco friendly and nontoxic!) as well as sewn goods from that fabric that I design at my home sewing studio.
As a mother of 3 boys, my goal is to save you (and me) from doing too much laundry.
My love for textiles started when I took sewing in 6th grade and won the Singer Sewing Contest with a double knit pant suit! When I had kids, I made all their clothes, and my business was born. When I needed easy to clean fabric for all the messes that life and kids bring I looked long and hard for laminated fabric. In 2016, not finding the prints I wanted to see, I dove off an entrepreneurial cliff, learned surface pattern design, and began ordering new prints in 3,000 yd increments. Today there are 29 different prints in our line and more in the works.

Splash Fabric has grown to a point that now I use a team of home sewers to help me with the daily production of all the products- all of them are based in my home town of Seattle. We make quality products for affordable prices and deliver them quickly to your doorstep. We have a dynamic team and I’m proud of what we’ve built.

As a former Park Ranger, sustainability is essential and our ”oilcloth” is OEKO-TEX certified and biodegradable. We believe in “slow fashion”. Our eco-friendly, non toxic flavor of “Not Your Grandma’s Oilcloth” is unique in the market. Its matte finish and contemporary, fresh designs will keep your customers coming back for more.
